There is a new AI chatbot called Claude 2 and it’s a direct competitor to tools like ChatGPT and Google Bard. It’s created by an company called Anthropic and it’s a really useful tool if you are involved in academic research.

Claude 2 can do tasks like summarizing, searching, writing, and coding.

It’s completely free to use. It has access to recent data, up to 2023, more recent that Chat GPT has access to.

The new model allows users to input about 75000 words or 100k token. That’s more than 3 times ChatGPT.

And one of the most useful parts, as far I can see is that you can upload multiple documents to Claude and have it summarize it and ask questions about it. This is where it makes a great research assistant as it can summarise research papers for you, give you a bullet summary of the main points, and you can even ask it specific questions about the text and it will answer them for you! –
