Danny is an independent trainer and consultant. He is a former science teacher with over 30 years of experience and now delivers ICT and science training to teachers all over the UK as well as overseas. He has been involved in Initial Teacher Training for nearly 20 years and has helped make hundreds of student teachers enthusiastic about science. He is a Lead PDL for STEM Learning, and holds a CPD Quality Mark. He also delivers science CPD for regional Science Learning Partnerships and Teaching School Alliances. He is a hub leader for PSQM as well as an Explorify Champion. In addition, he is also a Google Certified Educator and Trainer.

Danny has written many books and training courses. He wrote the award-winning Reach Out CPD course for Imperial College London and Twig/TigTag. He co-wrote the Switched on Science KS2 scheme for Rising Stars as well as the Eureka: Success in Science KS3 scheme for Heinemann. He has also written a short course on Science in the Primary Classroom for Coventry University. He has also written articles for the Association for Science Education’s “Primary Science” and “Education in Science” journals. His most recent book, Science Fix, inspired by his work in initial teacher training and based on much of the content on this website, will be out in September 2024.
