Classroom screen is an excellent addition to any teacher’s toolkit. It’s a browser-based resource which provides you with a wide range of useful tools to use on your interactive screen/whiteboard.

With Classroomscreen you’ve got all the classroom tools at your fingertips. Whether you need a timer or would like to choose a student to answer a question, Classroomscreen has various features that support your class activities, stimulate engagement and help your students get to work.

The random name picker allows you to pick a student at random which is great for cold-calling question activities. The countdown timer is a simple timer you can use to stop class activities from running too long. Set the time with the + and – buttons then click the play button to start counting down. Click on the stopwatch icon in the top right corner to turn it into a stopwatch instead.

The QR code tool is also helpful. You can enter a web address into the box, and the QR code for that URL will be displayed. Students could then zap that code with their camera or QR app on a tablet and go straight to that site.

You can even run quizzes with the students answering via their own devices, if they have them, which is a really nice feature that other sites would charge for.
